Every person who is interested in the project can now get a short and enjoyable overview about ECROPOLIS in the project flyer. The new flyer informs on two pages about the most important steps in the triennial project: Needs of the organic market, information on organic taste, project consortium, impact of the EU-regulation, sensory analysis and dissemination. It also includes a list of the project partners and shows where to get more detailled information. more

2009-4-27 ECROPOLIS goes online!

WELCOME - today the new ECROPOLIS-website is launched! BNN Herstellung und Handel e.V. (Organic Processors and Traders Association), co-initiator of the scientific project, generated the online presence of ECROPOLIS. On www.ecropolis.eu interested users can find important information about the project, its tasks and aims. In addition to that the website presents the project partners, the project structure and work packages in a clear arranged and attractive way. As soon as first research results are available, you will find them on the website as well. BNN is looking forward to constructing a lively website which offers a continuous information flow and an attractive platform for knowledge exchange! more

2009-2-10 Ecropolis: sensory properties of organic food

In January 2009, the European research project Ecropolis has been approved. FiBL is coordinator of this project which will analyze sensory profiles of different organic products for three years. The data will be entered in the Organic Sensory Information System (OSIS). Also there will be collected information about underlying production methods which explain the sensory differences between organic and conventional.
