Market needs and solutions
WP4 pursues a horizontal approach and will thus run parallel to and
interact with the research activities performed in WP3. WP4 will
integrate the findings from T 3.1 about the choice of the products to
be part of the project. In addition, T 4.2 will be developed based on
the key sensory product attributes defined in
T 3.2. In a next step, the qualitative consumer study results will be considered in the development of T 3.3.
WP4 also delivers important input for the development of OSIS (WP2) and for dissemination and training (WP6).

Aims and outputs of the work package
The
main target of WP 4 entitled “Market needs and solutions” is to
identify a new consumer typology based on an approach that combines
general sensory preferences with the relevance of product specific
sensory characteristics. As a result of this sensory-oriented market
segmentation marketing strategies for the specific products and the
different markets will be developed.
