APT

AgroParisTech (APT) is recognized as the leading French Graduate School in Agronomy, Environment, Life science and Food technology. It is a graduate school with a tradition of more than 150 years. It is a member of ParisTech, a consortium of the best French Graduate Institutes in Science & Engineering.
 
Our mission statement:
  • to train Master of Engineering, Master of Science and Doctoral students, through state of the art research and partnerships with agro-industrial companies
  • to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, in close association with public or private research centres, be it through fundamental or applied research
  • to develop our international relations to enhance the career prospects of our graduates worldwide, and take our share into the constitution of a global community of research
 
APT is organized into five departments providing courses of studies in agronomy, forestry, life science, environmental science and technology, food science and engineering, economics and social science, mathematics and physics modelling. The five departments are organized into 39 units closely linked with major National Research Centres.
 
APT is a core member of the Paris Cluster in Life & Environmental Science & Technology, together with 2 other Graduate schools: Alfort National Veterinary School, the Versailles National School of Landscape architecture and 3 research centers. This cluster provides an excellent framework for the rapid development of modern research facilities consistent with the new trends of research.
 
The Sensory Perception and Sensometry Laboratory (LaPSS) is part of the SPAB department (Science and Engineering for Food and Bioproducts). It has more than 15 years of experience in sensory science research and teaching and has a very strong experience in working with the food industry.
